WHO WE ARE
The Georgia Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (GALAS) was formed in 2012 by a small group of dedicated administrators throughout the Metro Atlanta area with the goal of establishing an organization committed to identifying and developing school leaders to improve the educational outcomes of Latino students in Georgia. GALAS founding members began the task of developing the vision, mission, goals, and bylaws for the organization as well as officially establishing GALAS as a non-profit organization.
GALAS was recognized by the National ALAS organization and became an official ALAS state affiliate in the fall of 2014.

HIGHLIGHTS
“We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community… Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs for others, for their sakes and for our own.”
Cesar Chavez
